I regularly use Heymondo, which offers some of the highest coverages on the market at very competitive prices. As well as covering medical expenses, Heymondo’s insurance also covers the loss or theft of luggage, electronic equipment and more. They also have a 24/7 customer service through their App. As A Ticket to Take Off reader, you get a 5% discount when purchasing Heymondo insurance. The purchase must be made using this link, and the price shown on the website already includes the discount.
What to visit in Sever do Vouga?
» Cabreia Waterfall
Cabreia Waterfall is one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Portugal, with a height of 25 metres. The access to get there is easy, making it the perfect option to cool down on hot summer days. And when I say cool off, I mean it, because the water is FREEZING!
In the summer season, the waterfall is quite crowded, so you should take that into consideration when you are planning your visit.
In addition, the waterfall is part of Cabreia Leisure Park, so the space next to the waterfall also has facilities for picnics and ALSO toilets.
» Poço de Santiago Bridge
Over the river Vouga, Poço de Santiago Bridge was built in the early 20th century and is one of the highest stone bridges in Portugal. All the surroundings of the river and the bridge make for some beautiful photo opportunities!
» Quinta do Barco River Beach
And if the temperature allows, why not spend a few hours at Sever do Vouga’s river beach? The water is quite calm, and there is even the option of doing some water sports.
But what truly wins us over on this beach is its peaceful and stunning landscape.
📝 USEFUL INFORMATION: The beach has a café and there is parking next to the beach.
